Probably one of the most important poets of the court of François I, Clément Marot (1496-1544) was to meet two currents: heir to the authors of the 15th century and precursor of the Pléiade.

Under glass, the print is in good overall condition. It could be framed to enhance it.

Taken from a book Civil and Military Costumes of the French Monarchy from 1200 to 1820 edited by François-Séraphin Delpech. Find other Hippolyte LeComte costumes here.
